Not today but yesterday; took my 4.4 V8 to a small company called LPGIT in Leicester to have the knackered BRC vapouriser replaced and get it running again on LPG.
The chaps there fitted a Magic 3 vapouriser as the old square block BRC ones are no longer made and they dont recommend the later version
Anyway. Picked car up at end of yesterday and drove it home and all seems good.
Need to work out what my consumption is now with a non leaky condenser and get on with the bodywork and suspension jobs

Nothing, moving in full time with Bix and he's been driving a box van all weekend. I miss my comfy seat and arm rest and he's been sulking about driving a manual all weekend :(

Same here, nothing..... Waiting for the insurance (still??) To take it for the repair... It's a shame I can't tell them what it needs and get them to supply the parts and I'll do it my effing self a lot faster... But because I'm not affiliated.... I can't and I have to look at it sitting there....

If you are not claiming on insurance, you can do your own repairs at your own cost of course.

Went to fill it with LPG.
Drove to the filling station and got Transmission fail safe message when shifting into drive from neutral at some traffic lights

Bugger.

Went to replace the handbrake shoes and discovered the transfer box rear seal is still weeping. B+st+rd.

That's very true and I've never in my driving history made a claim, but when my front bumper , relevent plastics and air con radiator are all smashed and bent, I think my 170€ excess sounds mighty cheap Keith.o_O;)

If you can, open the GB/transfer oil filler plug, stick a piece of long kitchen roll in it, pull it out see what colour it is or if it smells burnt

You have some serious rust under there:eek:

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
Got my wheel and broken shock off, cleaned it up a little as you were right rust is starting to set in there.
If I can get some rust treatment and paint, good flap discing it will come up like new before the shocks get here. Other side will have to wait it’s safer to leave it on three wheels than two do one at a time

Stripped steering wheel undertrays off find out where these hotstart wires are going.
1) Found a broken SRS cable god knows who chopped that!
2) Found possible problem/solution with acc pedal. No mechanical parts on my version as such but there is a bump stop to the pedal with a plastic spacer that is worn and moves - possibly adding to the cutting out @ zero throttle. I’ve fashioned a tiny tiny shim so it tight and refitted to try

That is interesting regarding the throttle pedal kinda makes sense, time will tell but hopefully solved
Chopped srs cable:eek: one can only wonder as to why.

But your next premium will go up dramatically so you will be paying for years. You are only looking at £300 or so in parts
