Used the good old P38 to tow a Shogun out the way which had broken down in the middle of a quite busy junction whilst making comments about japanese reliability.

Took her all the way to York and back. Didn't miss a beat the whole way. But I did come close to losing my front bumper twice by the same tit in an X5 towing a caravan. First he came across my nose going down the slipway, he started moving into my path and indicating at the same time, had to brake hard. Then when I came to go round him on the dual carriage way I just started to get alongside the back of his van when he tried to come across my nose again.

God, I loath BMW drivers, they seem to get worse when towing caravans though.

On the plus, it turns out my horn works very well.

replaced front discs with brembo's. stops really well now with very light pressure. N/S was a complete bitch to remove, O/S came off with no probs. replaced all the bolts with new and also the guide pins while i was at it. do the rears on Tuesday. then its track rod, drag link and tires for the 16's.

SWMBO sudjested an X5 after seeing one on the road, i said, " you want a divorce now or later ". she soon came round to the idea of looking for a RR

true, the newer model is slightly better looking though compared to the early ones.

GOLD ? :eek::eek:
Indeed, gold. I felt like vomiting when I saw the colour.

At least she saw sense. Not too many of them around, seems you've found yourself a fine example.

only hissy fit it threw at me was when the serp belt snapped because the idler pulley seized :)

Sounds like its been off roading of you just OCD :)

not sure about OCD, PARANOID maybe :D:D:D. just thinking that while i have the time to do the jobs, i might as well do everything all in 1 go. saves coming back and doing follow up jobs after.

Oi you! :mil46: My FFRR is gold and looks lovely but then it has the added advantage that it isn't a BMW. Today I did nothing , yes absolutely nothing. Didn't even get in it. :)
