Well,on the red one I replaced the leak off pipes AGAIN,tried the new stainless braided pipe I bought, what a waste of money, too big to fit ,not enough space between the injector and leak off nipple.back to the usual sh1te. On the positive side went through the electrical connections on the engine on the black one especially the temp sensors and the Bastid started, bit of a flat spot which cleared when it got hot.doesn't want to restart when hot and the rev counter stopped working.video to remind me it runs sometimes been standing for years and last ran when I fitted the new petrol pump.will check fuse1 first unless anyone has a better idea.

Put the old girl in for MoT Test today. She failed because I forgot to look at any other faults and it turns out the ball joints on the steering links are goosed. A little annoyed at myself as I should've checked that while I was off the road. Ah well.
Hopefully fixed and retested tomorrow.

Rev gauge not working usually a crank sensor dead? Able to check with live data?

When my rev gauge died it turned out the plug into the cluster hadn't been pushed all the way home so one day it just dislodged. Might not be behind your issues but worth a check.

Don't know why it loaded a photo, should have been a video, sorry for the sound of the crappy aftermarket air filter if it loads.it hasn't.

Got the old girl back from MoT. And immediately undid my ABS bodge, and a food thing too, I really wasn't happy with it and it was falling apart as I pulled out the dash. But now I have 12 months to chase it and fix properly before next years MoT.
I also need a new front section of exhaust, advisory for rattly cat, so I assume the insides are probably dead. But I will wait until I can get her on the ramps at work for that. Hate crawling on my back.

Yeah for 12 more months... the headlight fix can stay. It isn't throwing a bulb fault so clearly it is fine.

Well yesterday when the rain stopped I removed the crank sensor, no bits on the probe, resistance checked out as per spec.1400 ohms, voltage and ground ok at the wiring harness plug. Back together and started, rev counter working, ran it for a while switched off and it won't restart when hot and the rev counter not working again,I have cleaned the connections on the alternator. And people slag off the diesel.
