Is that it.? The days of 99p petrol have gone. Good while it lasted.
Think positive, could be just a dodgy tappet.
Went out again to help charge battery up and to do some shopping.
Tapping was absent while warming up then intermittent once hot, think that says it has to be a tappet? Would go away if i blipped the throttle

I been in hiding.... on furlough.... man its cra* staying home, having to talk to the wife all day, I love her.... but not that much!!!

Yes, there's a reason men retire and then die shortly afterwards, usually in a bizarre gardening accident - especially if they're a drummer.

Yes sounds very much like a tappet, or several..

Slipped liners are more of a heavy "clack" a very obvious noise...

Does it disappear when the rev's are raised?

This is what a slipped liner sounds like...

Pretty sure that sounds very different, cheers for the link! Yes it does go away, I'll have to record it again and this time rev it, it seems easier to hear played back than over all the engine noise

If it goes away when you give her some hoof then it's more than likely tappets, or a cracked rocker pedistal..
