Went get diesel before fuel goes up. £47 to the brim :)
Way I’ve used fuel lately that’s about 2years worth!
Got home parked up tried a hotstart, not having none of it
Hey ho, your not the only one Lukas ;)
Sorting the FIP timing cures the problem, at least it has on my project car.:D

To be fair I haven't measured it yet. But the engine was too tempting so if it doesn't fit we'll have to find something it does fit ... Like a mini.

There are a lot of sensors and connections on it. I wish there was a version of RAVE to explain how it all hooks up ... and what they are!

My father knew a guy that had a Reliant kitten ( like the Robin but 4 wheels) it had a jag v12 in it the whole thing used to try and flip when you blipped the throttle and it went like the proverbial
anything can be done its just who much is involved in doing it:D

Also helps if you've got a multi-million dollar/ euro conglomerate car producer behind you ...just details..

In the days when we had hot rods,( late 70s) and everybody was cutting up Cortina's and escorts etc.. there was the story of someone who put two engines in a mini. one driving the back, one driving the front and you sat between two engines with two timing chains flapping around either side of you...did we really do all that then.?

I do remember that story, remember that's not much later than when we were running around with rod operated brakes.:)

John Cooper did the first twinie as it was called crashed it on the A3 coming out of london, rear stearing arm went and throwing it in the the barrier, lots of others followed,

We put a 3.0 litre Capri engine in a Ford Anglia. In retrospect, it might have been a good idea to upgrade the brakes and suspension as well.

I managed to install a four barrel carburettor setup on a 1600 cortina. Everybody complained about the smell of petrol 'till I realised it was going straight through the engine and straight out the exhaust again

There was a bloke in West Sussex who had a fake Rolls Royce on the road with a Sptfire engine in it:eek:
I last saw that about 15 years ago, parked in a side road near me, John Dodd was the owner/builder it was well known in custom car circles in the 70s/80s
there was a rumour Rolls Royce received complaints from the German traffic police about testing their new models on the Autobahn, after he drove it over there,
Rolls Royce investigated as a result he was forced to remove the radiator grille, or face legal action, don't know if it's still about or if he is.

Thanks for that, I had forgotten the guys name, I saw the car several times around Pulborough when I lived in the area over 20 years ago.
