Ordered a load of parts yesterday.

Front EBC Green stuff pads
Front EBC Discs ( Paddocks had a deal on apparently)
Dowty washers for the PS pipe I have in the shed which I've been meaning to fit
Clips for the PS pipe that hold it across the lower rad support. Cable tied by someone else in the past
Black badge for the front grille
Rear bumper brackets (side and chassis)
Bumper bolts
Swapped a bottle of whiskey for a decent used rear bumper. ( Got to go look at it and make sure it's OK on Sat?

Busy Busy

Opened the bonnet as I thought I sniffed a whiff of burning plastic or similar. Cannot see anything but f*ck me that flood water gets everywhere!

Cheers kurt now here is hopeing for a nice hassle free day tomorrow.

Took her for a drive. I seem to have done better than the postman, as I got up and down the lane ;)

Ah,bless he must have been tired.your lucky to see a postman, the delivery round I'm part of doesn't get a delivery if the posties don't want overtime when they have finished their rounds. I waited in all day for a turbo to delivered, it was recieved at the sorting office at 0713 , I had to pick it up personally the next day.

i do like the extra power and so far no codes ...runs great like im sure these motors were intended

Fitted a new alternator and eas pump, pump running constantly gonna swop out the pressure switch tomorrow.

As you both mentioned CATS, I have an intermittent problem where one day my 4.4 petrol feels like it is pulling like a train and then the next it feels like it is pulling a train. One of my CATS is leaking but i also suspect my calipers maybe sticking on or my vanos is doing something weird, what symptoms do you guys have - hope its ok to ask a quick question while i'm here ?

One of my cats has broken loose and is rattling around the simple fix is running a drill bit threw it and and bolting it all up with a long nut and bolt or using a G clamp to crush it so it can't move around. I mite just cut it out I was going to just refit my old original ones but rain stopped play have yet to decide.

As fo r your 4.4 with an intermittent power issue vanos would be my thoughts but is you have a leaky cat that would need sorting 1st as it would cause running issues with the ecu trying to constantly adjust fuel/air mixture

ok thanks, my plan is to rebuild my calipers to rule that out as they a little hot, well the three i haven't done are, remove the exhaust and see if i can weld the seam around the cat and then get some live data from the engine when i can transfer my faultmate back to see whats going on there.
Cheers.

Drove her to pick up point for new foster pooch. On the way passed an nice old, yellow, F plate 90/110, near Irvine, in Ayrshire. The driver's window may have had an issue, as driver was all wrapped up, including gloves and no sign of glass in the frame. Was wondering if he might be a member. Think it was F556 something.
Picked up pooch and headed back along the 74, in the rain.
