Drove her down to my local indy to pick up the battery for the Volvo. Walked in and saw her big sister sitting there. Lovely looking, well cared for , Y plate, P38, 4.0 HSE, in gold. I think it used to be owned by another local garage owner, hence it's lovely condition.
I shouldn't say it out loud but, after all the hassle last year, I am just so happy to be able to get in and go. :)

Stripped down center console removed HVAC and dash clock to repair my blend motors! what a mission that was!! Oh yea and got the SRS warning light to just make things more interesting!!

I was forever getting SRS airbag warning, so I bought a tin of switch cleaner (contact cleaner) ign off, unplugged each airbag plug under each front seat sprayed em, gave the pins a rub with mouse trap file and put them back together. No more warnings

Had a fiddle about with the passenger window lift motor on my 88 classic, IT WORKS :p
trouble is I don't really know what it was that made it work again, maybe just a loose connection somewhere. Anyway gave everything a good dose of grease.
Next job look at the central (non) locking.

Here you go, you won't have sat-nav or 'puters in your world but here's where to look! https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/what-have-you-done-to-your-landie-today.62254/page-1437

Or pretend to have a Range Rover: just pop down the tip and grab as much obselete electronics as you can and chuck it randomly into the cab. Then spend the next 3 years trying to work out WTF none of it works!

I've spent Sunday, Monday and a couple hours yesterday cleaning my newly purchased rangie, this thing is so minging! Still got the dash, roof lining, passenger seat, engine bay and underside to do. Highlights have been a blood stained hand print in the boot and a spare wheel well that was full of mud and straw. ex-farmers car....

Thanks for the clarification. The Flying Squad had just left a trail of parallel black lines before the clarification occurred.

They'll be more to do, don't worry.

Straight through another MoT test. Swapped wheels corner to corner. Got an advisory of a nail in a wheel. Grrrrrr.

spent some time and cleaned all the clay and forest leaves from my overly caked chassis. Suddenly a quater of a ton lighter!!:D

we were out in the forest by our house in the mud and rolling over fallen trees with the two small people following me on their quads! Absolutely brilliant, especially when you floor it in the mud and spray them both!!!

Thought I lost a wheel weight as it developed a vibration between 25 and 30. Turns out my prop UJs are U/S. Got some on order, hopefully here tomorrow. Otherwise I'll have to drive the near on 300 miles to work and hope it doesn't fail completely, as we have a bunch on the shelf gathering dust.

My lpg converted developed a misfire a couple of weeks ago.Started investigation by removing covers and discovered some oil lying in the plug wells so cleaned that out and replaced the valve cover gasket on the near side as it was the worst and as I have lpg gubbings above the offside which would make it harder to do that side,as if the nearside was easy lol,I left replacing it.Ran it,fault still occured, put on fault reader which highlighted a missfire in c1 and c2 neither of which had an oil issue.I replaced all the plugs with new ngk rated ones and gave it a run.No misfire and when I got back I dipped the oil and the stick showed hehaw.....ive put 4 ltr in and its just wet the bottom of the stick. Why has me warning light not came on ????
