Changed the diff-oil. Slight creamyness which I assume was due to water ingress during the wading last weekend?

Reversing light bulb swapped. Filament looked OK but didn't work either side. Replaced with heavy duty bulbs which have an extra support in the middle of the filament.

well ive got time to my self today so i thought i would take some dents out off my own car today. instead of everyone else,s 5 little dents and one very hard to get at dent ill post pictures later.of how its goes. i find range rovers a bit harder to do with them having thicker skins than most cars and ali. this dent will be different. than the every day ones i get week in week out.

I dont think its Range Rovers that have thicker skins but its the owners that have thicker skins

Did you put a bung in the gearbox? if you didn't the grit sand dirt will slowly grind all the cogs down it will take some time depending on how much crud is in there, but changing your gearbox oil is a must.... dont ask how I know, lucky my box was under insurance and I got a new one

Bung in the gearbox?!

I think there's a air breather some place, and water can get into the gearbox, thats what happened to me, it at the front near the flywheel on my series 2

I was planning on replacing the oil anyway but don't think I have enough left for a full change. :(

Took off both bonnet latches, put in parts washer to dissolve 17 years of grime, moved to ultrasonic cleaner to remove parts washer solvent.

Small dab of silicon grease, and re-fitted looking like new. Got rid of the "bonnet open" warning which was driving me nuts.

Fitted new wipers all round the rear one was really bad the fronts not great but what a change I can see in the rain. Then fitted leather handbrake and auto gear lever looks better in there now. She has the outside facelift now most of the inside is getting there too

Changed the oil in the gearbox.

The MTF94 from Smith & Allan isn't as thick as the stuff from Land Rover. Sounded OK on the test drive but I don't think it'll last as long.

Typical I go into hospital have 3 stents put in, come out and find my rdr suspension won't go up now, I just can't do it right now I will wait a few days and try looking at it then if I feel better

YOU SHOULD REST UP FOR MORE THAN A FEW DAYS SO YOUR STENTS CAN SETTLE IN' AS FOR MY RANGY I WENT TO SEE A MATE AND THE GARAGE NEXT DOOR HAS A RANGY SPORT ON THE RAMP. SO I WALKED OVER TO SEE AND THE FRONT IS SMASHED OFF. SO I ASKED WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO WITH IT. HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO STRAIGHTEN THE CHASSE AND THEN PUT NEW WINGS ON!!!, I LOOKED AND SAID WHAT ABOUT THE LITTLE ecu THAT FITS IN THE CROSS MEMBER THAT HE HASNT GOT YET. AND ALL THE PIPES FOR THE AIR SUS, AND THE CUT WIRES GOING TO IT. HE JUST LOOKED AT ME, IN A FUNNY WAY. HE DIDNT HAVE A CLUE SO I OFFERED HIM 3 GRAND the same as what he had payed for it
TO TAKE IT OFF HIS HANDS IF HE COULDNT SORT IT. ITS AN 2.7 TDV6 07

I decided to purchase some Gen Yoo Ayne LR pollen filters for George.

Picked them up the other day and fitted them last night.

Can you spot the difference boys and girls?

and the ones the immigrant mice had set up a temporary camp in...

Jeez, no wonder the cabin smelled like a farmers boot :D

Now I just have to figure out how to work the stupid fan controls. It's like something from original Star Trek, all flashing and blinking for no real purpose other than to look futuristic o_O

When I turn the blower dial for more speed, I can almost hear Scotty shouting, "If I give her any more captain, she'll blow! The Dilithium Crystals are almost done...!"

It does it's own thing. Will a contact cleaner help if I dismantle it and give it a spray then chaps?
