I realise you probably did,but did you clean the hose connections, before fitting the hoses,i normally just give them a light clean, using a green kitchen type scouring pad.

as the hose already came fixed to the T piece, no i didnt but will revmove all hoses and clean up tomorrow just in case

you mean back into the header bottle?

no the overflow pipe. iv just checked and i had orderd a ****part replacement insyead of lr genuin. still does account for the expansion bottle overflowing will recheck cold level tomorrow to make sure its not over filled

did my sniff test to check for headgasket pressuring the cooling system. checks out ok blue liquid stayed blue so got to find whats cauing coolant to leak from me hoses

whilst colour change does prove hgf non change doesnt disprove hgf/liner issue, i would check system works properly ie rad hot all over ,thermostat, water pump etc

yep think that the way to go, i get no over heating issues i did replace the water pump and check the stat not long after i got it all was good the water pump was however a **** part one ( i didnt know any better at the time) but the pump seems to be working just fine i did a test on it im gonna go get my laser thermo gun from my mate and check the rad all over for hot n cold spots just to be sure. if the problem persists i know i will have to pull the heads to prove or disprov hg failure or liner isssue

Left my side lights on in the car park all day (10 hours) that'll teach me for not topping up my washer fluid - I've got used to the angry beep when I turn my ignition off - but this time little did I know it was a "you've left your lights on you pillock" beep.

My heart sunk as I approached the car seeing the tail lights glimmering away. The central locking worked (good start.) I turned the lights off - and the ignition on - a twist of the key... and... Nnnnnothing bad happened - it started on the button as usual. Thank the lord for large capacity batteries! :D

:p it's an old '04 DRZ400, the replacement of the DR350.
Never been a 'suki fan TBH, but went on a "Redtread" Spain tour in Jan, first time off roading and absolutely loved it.
Already got a sports bike but now £1500 worse off and another motor to join the fleet for when the RR doesn't work
