today i fitted new drag link and track rod bars and a uj, next on the list blend motor  new rad, suspension ball joints and shaft oil seals (will have to pay for them dont have the kit), then the leaky oil pipes and on and on.......
think i bought a bit of a lemon, but hey live and learn!!

Yesterday, finally got around to changing the auto box oil cooler, s**tpart, needed a hacksaw to remove some metal to be able to connect one of the pipes and had to drill for some self tappers to fit the temp sensor. Also changed the fuel filter as I have been running on WVO Took it for a thrash and it boiled on me!!! Slightly not happy.

Today, it wouldnt start, some idiot hadnt checked the filter drain and it was loose, connected up the jump leads and got it going. Think the tank pump has died. Not unexpected, what you save in fuel goes in repairs. Done 80 miles and no overheating. Think that the expansion cap is possible playing up despite it not being very old!! Washed it as a thank you for not boiling today and not dripping transmission fluid on the drive!!

It's my brothers car, but today we ad-hoc wired a radio and went for a drive. Didn't realise how fierce the kick down is, really felt and heard it!

Sorted my sunroof out :D and spent a good 20 mins looking for the autobox dipstick before reading on hear that after 99 they don't have one.

Fitted a Disco 2 rear view mirror with compass and very pleased with it too, didn't seem to be reading heading correctly at first but after reading how to calibrate it on hear it is now working perfectly.

Also had to reset the bloody EAS fault again.

Ordered some leather dye of EBay, redone steering wheel, bloody good stuff, 3 coats looks like new again now, also gave her a good clean out, tried Autoglmys interior shampoo for the first time and it's the best by far, removed ground in dirt from door cards and other plastic trim. Give it a try.

today connected V8 vacuum pipes, sorted all (hopefully) electrics in engine bay... and started the engine, not all cylinders are running yet.

speedometer / speed transducer still to fix... any tips where could I get a second hand (1993 RRC 4.2 LWB/LSE)?

thanks
