spent all day looking for cam cap bolts that that my 4 year old grandson thought he would play with while i made a cup of coffee just found the last one at 9.45 tonight the little ****e could have killed him thank god he couldnt reach the cam caps :p

Surely you mean cam cap nuts? Cam caps are marked anyway so let him play with them. Don't be a many. :D:D:D

I picked my p38 diesel up from my mates garage after having a recon transfer box fitted. The morse chain (cheers Datatek et al ) was slipping. I can't believe the difference now its fixed ! the pick up on acceleration is so smooth and no banging or juddering ! It just might make it to Devon and back next week !
 
wammers thanks for confirming that, access don't look good is there any easy trick

Look at doing most of it from below. Obviously you need to remove the pressure pipes from top. Take off what you need to to get better access. Turbo pipes etc. Bolts will come out with compressor and compressor is fitted with bolts in it. They can't be fitted with compressor in position. Did mine from top but head and exhaust manifold was off at the time. Use new seals.
 
thanks wammers, thats about what i thought, pity i didnt have conpressor when i had to do turbo last year. now time get the right o rings
 
Fitted suspension compressor repair kit to the L322.
Allways been a little slow for my liking and was getting worse.
Raises much quicker now :)

Sorry to read that Grit Valve. Are you sure you're quitting RR ownership or do you have another lurking in the Garage ? Anyway, my p38 2.5 DHSE did Wigan to Birmingham and back, then up to Carnforth and back all in the same day today ! ! No problems at all ! That even surprised me ! !
