Still chasing a knock on the front end so replaced the last old ball joint. Couldn't get the new slide hammer in so improvised with some screwed rod, ball joint still wouldn't shift but a few blows on the slide hammer with a lump hammer and out it popped, much quicker than the 8 1/2 hours it took for the O/S. And yes it's still knocking :mad::mad:.
At least it also gave me a chance to try a couple of my new spanners.:D

Replaced the driver door latch on my project P38 so that works correctly now. New problem is the lever on the back of key barrel broke off while disconnecting the rod that connects to the latch :(. Ordered a replacement complete handle, so hopefully I can swap the barrels over & avoid the dual-key issue.

Also removed the BBUS unit, so no alarm when starting now.

The barrels can be swapped, not that easy as there is a roll pin to extract.

There was an issue with some front struts knocking i think it was the delphi ones.
 
I used mine last night to go to archery and took it for a spin out on the motor way today, had a bit of a smile as i went passed a couple of much newer range rovers and a d4:D
 
I seem to remember it was to do with some of the replacement struts that people had fitted when the air bags went

Hopefully not my issue but cheers for the heads up. It's going in soon for a gearbox flush and front brake lines so they are gonna have a shuftie.
 
Winning bidder never turned up or sent deposit as promised so its been relisted, I've also left a deposit on a new one that im very excited about
 
Fired him up and took him to the garden centre cafe for breakfast. Took a while to level out fully even though I had pulled the delay relay. Really must find time to do the rear air springs too.
Then loaded the back with a huge pile of brush and trunks from the garden work last week and took it to the tip.
Thursday will be off for MOT but tomorrow will be cleaning day.
