yip looked at that before I started and thought there you are but when I got underneath the little begger has hidden from me all I can see is the bolts that hold the casing together :confused:

Are you registered partially blind:D:D:D Try the best eye or you might have one of those sealed for life versions if plug-less:rolleyes:

Checked fluids, topped up engine oil as it was close to minimum. I really need to track down and fix that leak.

Then went on a jaunt into York. No dramas to report. Although the exhaust seems to have developed a lot more burble. Think it might be ready to give up and leak like the Titanic.

Saturday was new drivers door lock and inner release cable, trip to Swindon, overheated so must do Fan mod from Datatek. This was followed by a puncture so now awaiting phone call from tyre supplier to let me know when tyres have arrived!!!

Find out why it overheated before you fit the mod, it's not meant to disguise an underlying problem.

Viscous fan knackered, Ok on short local trips or 50mph on dual carriageway but cant cope with faster in hot conditions.

I let in cool down and drove slower without any issues!!! Only used the Rangie for that trip as Merc is in garage!! Forgot to take it easy as was running late.5mins on side of road and was off again!!

Just connected a wire up and got fans working. Got to wire in properly later as now Daddy Day Care time!!

So mod done to fane and replaced 2 rear tyres. Went for Cooper Discover's AT3 and amazed how quiet they are. You dont notice a gradual increase in tyre noise as they wear down!!

Thank you to Datatek for help with fan mod.

New windscreen wipers then off to garage for MOT.

PASSED......with no advisories!!!!!

Slowly getting there with passenger blend motors and roof lining on the must get round to do list still!!!

I used to have a couple of those when new easy to work on and a lot of room under the bonnet but also when the car was first introduced there were a pile of boxer engines up at the factory and the speculation was that they were what was meant to go into the Morris Minor

painted the front grill in silver and refitted drivers side step then cleaned the boot area out before washing and waxing the outside going to do inside tomorrow if I get chance :D
