Quick question: anyone ever been charged for 'sundries' when getting a job done?
Sundries being copper slip ,,cutting discs, lubricant to remove nuts and a couple of other things. I know they'll work it in to the price usually, but I've never been charged for them as a separate group.
Ive got a couple of receipts from a landrover dealer that has.

Great start to the week for me. Hate living near a construction site. Can't prove it was their **** that went through my window though, so just got to eat the excess (looks like £115, which damn near stopped my heart).

It is the worst when they charge you for a pot of copper slip, when you know full well they used a dab of it, the rest goes back on their shelf.

Ah well we're wading and paddling again in South Yorks. Rivers Don and Rother both burst their banks. Had to run the missis to her dads earlier and a nice big flooded stretch so we had to wade through. Unlike @Mark Piercy checked along for deep spots and straight through loverly jubbly:D:D
Had leak in roof during night so waiting for my mate who owns his own roofing company and whom I trust in these matters. Can't see any damage so hopefully just the wind forced a bit of rain through near where stainless chimney for gas fire goes through roof tiles

Common place to leak is near the eaves, the felt rots there first. I've had that on all my roofs here, undertray is cheap and works.

They were done last year. The water mark on the bedroom ceiling is directly below where the chimney pipe goes through tiles so assuming thats the culprit

Make or buy something, I've seen it used on yoo tube or somewhere. I've got a good conventional spring compressor if you need one to borrow.
i've got a conventional one too

i wish i could say for certain what the issue is.. as said, i'm hell bent on replacing the gasket :D but it strikes me as odd that valve seals would suddenly 'go' on a car thats in use..
