picked up recon injectors from the diesel specialist and new spill pipes so fingers crossed il get them in the next day or two if the wife lets me out to play been ill all week with a chest infection and flu :(

Just putting on the new tyres... 235/85/16 tyres with standard suspension! Eeep!

Will be fitting bigger bump stops and also winding out the locking nuts to stop the wheels rubbing the front radius arm!

Isn't it difficult to get in then:D

But seriously get some good quality plastic primer and black paint and it makes a huge difference. Forget l322 front end conversions. Re spray all the nasty faded plastic trims and it'll knock years off.

Glad I took the time to do it

Today - (well yesterday now) I took a load of rubbish to the tip. Last week had 2 new tyres on and put 18" wheels back on (20" going on ebay). It's more comfortable on 18" and I haven't had an EAS fault since doing it (perhaps I shouldn't have said that!!!). :)

I give the plastic some sort of back to black treat now and then, Meguairs do some great stuff:) Peanut butter works as well, but the smell:eek:

I've heard of and used the peanut butter trick myself on a 300tdi I had it's amazing really. However I visited a local friend and I think all of the cats in the village came to lick the bumper :) one way of becoming a pussy magnet I guess ;)

changed injectors and spill pipes feels a bit more powerful now :p found out why the mill light was coming on the wires from the sensor were dodgy one was broke and was just say touching so must have been moving with the engine vibration and broke the back of the washer jet lifting of the manifold ahh:mad: now just need to put diagnostics on to clear faults :D

Changed the thermal link in the EAS compressor. Now have fully functioning system. Managed to cook thermal link when testing compressor. Should have read and digested all previous posts and How To, I shan't be doing that again!

cleaned the oil leak from the engine bay (forgot to put the oil cap back on when i topped it up a few days ago ) now its back to being nice and clean again :D

Thanks. I'll pop to Asda ;) flushed my intake manifold the other day and got oil all over it. Didn't have anything that was any good at getting it off.

I fitted a good crank shaft pulley from the breakers. Now no more of the banshee howling on start up.
I had suspected all bearings driven by the belt but couldn't find a culprit over the last few months. The crank pulley was not giving any clues it was the problem until it started slipping ie engine running but belt not driving. I did find that the grooves on the pulley had unbelievably worn away and the pulley was then smooth. Also the wobbling of the pulley had caused it to rub off the timing casing. Thankfully not too much wearing done.:)
