Which way you going so we can look out for you:rolleyes::D and have tow rope ready
Not a single issue:)
Temp gauge stayed rock steady even after being stuck for an hour and a half due to a prang on the m6. Went to Plymouth.
24mpg average. Mainly 60mph going, 70 occasionally 80 coming back.
4 up and the boot full as well as the centre seat and footwell.
I trust her now, turned out to be a good purchase in the end:).

But did you enjoy the drive, was it as you hoped after all the hype about sitting in your favorite armchair:)

Fine going down but myself and the Doris swopped driving twice. Coming back I did it all, stuck in crawling stop/go traffic which added an hour and a half to the journey so I was driving for around 6 hrs with a 10min break about 2 hrs in, just a quick pee.
When we got home and climbed out my legs were dead, couldn't stand or walk properly for a few minutes. Ass was a bit numb too. I think the leg thing was pressure on my sciatic nerve which I suffer from. Altering the seat to give more front tilt to take pressure off my thigh might help.
Cruise control was lovely especially through the miles and miles of 50mph speed camera sections.

Doc told me years ago to recline the backrest as much as safely possible to reduce the weight on the lower spine. It worked for me, I can go 300 miles non stop and still stand up:D

Not a hard job, I've yet to do the BMW ,the new ring and shaft nut are in the garage waiting for me to start.the rusty old nut was putting me off but I've found my thread recovery file so if the temperature rises I'll give it a go .;)
The car was going into limp mode and a warning light was on the dash. All sensors were working and fault was showing to be o/r using live data.I removed the sensor and cleaned the reluctor ring with a file and airline, put the sensor back but put a thin washer between the sensor retaining lug and the hub so the sensor has a slightly larger air gap.driven about for a week and the light hasn't come back on.Bought me a bit of time till it's replaced.

Goin' in the garage for welding on the rear arches, could be expensive, but she is worth it, haven't had a drive in over a week, I feel withdrawal symptoms kicking in.

P38 is the only car i've driven where I don't get a bad back, nice and soft seat base in nice! ;)

I tip the seat base up to help with thigh support and recline and seat to take the pressure of the spine, like Keith said ;)
