I'm in enough trouble for buying the rangie and making her climb in it without adding to it. Luckily she hasn't yet worked out that "It's cheaper than a set of winter wheels and tyres for the M5" was a complete lie.

dont sound promising with the sad face. how many advisories?

2,

Near side rack excessive play, offside track rod end excessive play, and they recommended changing the near side track rod end while they were at it because it was starting to go

The garage I use are really good, we take all out work fleet to them.

I didn't think £254 parts labour and vat was to bad tho?

changed my track rod, drag link and damper the other day. took about 45 minutes. then about an hour to track it all square.

What's a track rod end cost??

Lol I haven't got the time to do it at the mo anyway even if I wanted

Today I've learnt that a P38 with working air suspension will lift the front of a suzuki jimny when the tailgating moron parks on top of your towbar.

:hysterically_laughi:hysterically_laughi

I'd have dragged it just far enough to leave in the middle of the road:rolleyes:

With this post in mind, today I seriously considered raising my suspension, to see if the mini trying to have anal sex with my car would like having a tow bar through it! Instead I left a note for the driver (in a waterproof bag) saying ' Please do not park so close. I don't do anal, I'm not that type of car!'

Drove to Ross on Wye and home again, some 220 miles. Nearly didn't begin the journey because the air suspension wouldn't lift the RR. Was about to go in the old Defender when the RR lurched and rocked and achieved driveable height!
My passenger didn't enjoy the journey because the heater only blew cold air into the nearside seat area....

took mine to the car wash, well, jet wash. made sure the water didnt go inside. looks mint again now. tomorrow is a day of polish and gloss finisher ready for the winter.

fitted another aternator on this morning whent and taxed it fitted new centre section exhaust gave it a bath then tokk the family out for tea total cost of todays escapaids £215 then 20 for mc ds

Messed around with fuses and relays in the vague attempt to get the ABS light, the TC light and brake warning light to stop shining! A new relay put the light out momentarily then the pedal locked up whist driving just for a few seconds then the brakes came on full!
I guess I'll just have to replace that accumulator!

Think you might need a bit more than an accumulator.

finished the polishing, changed the letters as well. didnt quite like the "silver look" so went black to match the colour of the car.
