I thought that, not according to him (his insta is rangerover_hollandandholland). You could get a boring gun case that mounts into the boot as an option, that could be had as an extra in any P38. The beautifully extra wooden chests were introduced for the L322, although you could go aftermarket and get a chest made up. A Scottish company still makes them on request if you have deep pockets.
LMAO - Yeah you do get some folk buddy who think they are the font of all knowledge when really deep down they are the font of all BS instead. You got the standard H&H car from LR and then you had the H&H options list on top buddy. All you got standard was rear picnic tables and the legs for the rear bootlid floor to convert it to a table in the brown casing and a brown mat on the tailgate to sit on. Other than that the bespoke made gun box was a very expensive extra along with the rear headrest screens/vhs/dvd player which was a £5000 option alone and only 20 cars had it ordered out of all those H&H built.
Ive only ever seen one fully loaded H&H P38 with all the options fitted and that was at the N.E.C classic car show 3 years ago and even then i had my reservations about it and TBH the car itself was not in that good order considering it was on show for all to see. As i mentioned buddy some of these so called know it all's are full of it and live in their own little worlds and they hate being corrected by us real enthusiasts. Google is a great place to find out info which you can throw back at them. LOL. Soon shuts them up.

Over the last 3 months there has been 3 H&H P38's come to market which i have looked at ONLINE ( Not in person due to covid ) and just 1 is still for sale and another 4th appeared on ebay yesterday for £12995 and that don't look that good. Amazes me because if i were selling something like a rare H&H i would be marketing it to the max with max pictures and info to ensure the car was sold ASAP. A lot of these sellers/dealers can't even be bothered sometimes and as soon as you start asking the proper well know P38 questions they ignore you which just tells me the car is a OVERPRICED SHED and should be avoided.

Other than that they are a nice example albeit i am not a fan of the interior colour combo. Too dark for me. I would much rather have a Vogue SE.

No Alan. Not yet. I am slowly losing interest albeit with all the money the dealer has had to spend on it to make her right i think he would be chuffed if i pulled out BUT i aint. He previously said he would not mind if i did and that he would relist it for a lot more than i paid for her. Bloody dealers i tell you. Greed is a horrible thing these days. That and jealousy is worse than a cancer and ive had that before too.
I still have all my P38 extra bits to fit to it plus i now have a fully refurbished set of 5 18 inch Vogue SE Comet alloys with nearly new tyres to go on it too which will transform the look of the car so i am just sticking it out buddy for now.
Still got my Rolls Royce for sale too but hope that will go soon now lockdown is lifting and folk have more freedom of movement. That will be all 6 of my classics sold off and the incumbant P38 will be my last car/toy before i give up driving due to health issues which after this last week could now be sooner rather than later. Life is a real bitch sometimes.

Long term average MPG it's quite accurate actually measuring with a pen/paper ;)

Not too bad for a V8 Rangie..

Got some Oil and a filter coming tomorrow, with how cheap Comma 10w40 is it makes it quite cheap to service it more often, only 1500mi since the last oil change ;)

Does the Commer oil have good ZDDP content which is good for the cam lobes?? I have been using Mobil 1 10w60 long life oil in most of my classics for the last few years with great results and less frequent changes albeit i don't leave it too long either.

What's keeping the cam in? Removed the retaining washer/plate thingy bob.. stuck fast like there's still a lifter in :( hmmm...
