please remove location from your post. PM it to those going to help. We dont want other "interested parties" turning up to strip it :(.

I know the village, it's ten mins drive but don't know the lane and not going unless someone else is going to do the actual recovery.

tis a bit wet round here, judging by the pics he sent i think a pontoon barge might be more usefull, and a pair of wellies that go up to the armpits would also come in handy. hope sombody gets him out.

Well i am not far from the incident and it is honking it down with rain. Rescue efforts should be postponed for tea.

If he's got where he is in a standard Disco on road tyres, it should be pretty simple to get him out. Not wishing for him to be still there tomorrow, but I wouldn't mind doing it, nothing better to do tomorrow. I'd take my camera obviously for endless **** taking potential.

Have offered to do piccies and could do a live LZ update to keep you all in the know but Big Ginga too afraid I'm after him as well as noob :D

AA have fenders dont they?

I dont think the "rescue" services will go off road to recover anyone.

Is it off road or is it a green lane? if its a green lane they should

Yes AA have defenders. They are part of the 'Special Operations Team'. They deal with adverse weather conditions and special events like Glastonbury festival, wimbledon etc.

Most breakdown clubs can arrange to get a 4x4 vehicle out to you but at your own cost. Once you are on tarmac and accessable to a standard road going vehicle you will not incur any additional charges unless specialist equipment is required to load the vehicle (usually for such eventualities as the wheels being stolen, keys lost, steering lock stuck on etc)

The person that comes out to get a bogged vehicle has to risk assess the situation. If HE (not you) feels that the risk is not acceptable he may deem it necessary to call for additional back-up, postpone doing the job until a later time or even decline the job.

Hiya mate

I was off today (I had to get my xmas shopping done) but yeah, Ive been pretty flat. I was hoping to get a load of chores done last night but I didn't get home from work until 10.30pm as we were manic.

How's it looking up your way?
