My dad once told me not to take the mick out of other peoples cars as they are as proud of theirs as you are of yours....

Odd colour....but I have to agree with Bix:

P38s are a bit like top-notch fashion models. They can make just about anything look good.

I think that it looks fine. Probably a couple of question marks if it was a Freelander, but it isn't.

Bit of mud wouldn't go amiss.

Cheeky fecker. I'll let you know me car is perfectly symetrical....... In 3 colours:p:p:p

When I saw it at the B&W show I just immediately thought of a 'painting by numbers' kit. Apart from the high class wind deflector on the driver's door of course, I take it that was there when you acquired the door.

I had one on the passengers side too.... but someone broke it :p

Don't be silly, this is the Internet, no one is friendly. But you have said you couldn't be bothered to check the paint code. Now if it was damaged/unreadable, then sure get someone to help do the grunt work, but all you have to do is pop the bonnet...

At no point did I say I could not be bothered, I did say I haven't looked for the paint code and the only reason for that is due to work commitments and I've simply not had the chance.
I am working away from home this week and don't have the RR with me to go out and pop the bonnet.
I merely asked what I thought was a simple question but it seems people here would rather be sarcastic than helpful.

do you think you've been given the right code ?

I'll be home on Friday so will double check but judging by some of the comments I've received then who knows.
Just had a look at paint on fleaby and monte carlo 608 could be it.

Monte Carlo is much darker!! but not as dark as Le Mans blue....

This is the Holland and Holland gun makers color (can't remember name) but remember it's been out in rain and sun for years and any touch up paint (even the right code) will stand out like a sore thumb!

Spend the extra and have a grumpy old tw@t mix by eye - I am lucky as my dad is said grumpy old tw@t and 50+ years experience with paint ;-)

Or if it is only a small scratch go into Halfrauds and tell them you need some help matching the colour, they gave me a selection of paints as the paint had faded and told me to test them on the body "somewhere out of sight if it doesn't match, although you can always paint over it."

So I did just that, I sprayed over the scratch, took the sample pots back in and said none match, I'll have to get some mixed up.:D
