Its the rear hub seal for the rear axel for a 1991 200tdi defender 90.

Ordered a couple of different ones and non of them seem to look like the one thats in the hub.

Any help greatly appreciated

ftc4785 is a grease seal it has no garter spring and is for hubs with grease,rtc3511 is an oil seal it is used for hubs using oil

The axel uses EP90 so i guess it would be the RTC3511 but just looks totally different to the one that I've taken out

How do you guys set the wheel bearing pre load. I seem to remember the last time I did it I just took the play out of the bearings by tightening the nut by hand - I.e holding the big socket and turning it by hand not using a wrench.

yes just remove all play then fit tab washer and other nut tightening the outer nut applies enough preload
