Hi mate. Forgot to mention this. Bring mossie repelent, and cream to treat bites. They have mossies up there with attitude. The repelant wont get them all so you will need a cream like Antisan. You say your taking the dog. Smother him with whatever the stuff you can get for ticks. I use front line in a spray. The great outdoors is alive with them at this time of year. If the dog (or you) get one stuck on you , for Fs sake dont try and pull it off unless your confident. Give it a belt with the spray and wait for it to drop off. If you pull it and leave the head in you have problems. If you pull it and it bursts and the blood gets into an open wound you get "Tick fever". Thats the end of your holiday. Last tip... Dont get involved in drinking games with them.. They are not human..

The best and best value mossie repellent I've ever used is called....now don't laugh..........."Skin so soft" by Avon - cheap to buy and use in quantity plus VERY good at keeping the biting bûggers at bay.

Thanks very much for your tips and concern:)........i have a chalet on water in Hungary surrounded by reed......u can imagine that there is the heaven of gnats and ticks......i'm fitted with all kind of ultrasonic devices, creams and sprays for that............about drinking...no chance......i'm looking forward for this holiday to regenerate my liver too after i've helped my uncle to "boil" a cask of 52% plum spirit:D
