Just written a list £6000 long and growing. I'm gonna have to wait a couple more Christmases before my landy gets her fill of modifications. :p
I'd sell up and buy one with half the stuff done to it, but I'm attached to my landy now, and could never let her go.

Spent too much already. Upgraded to td5 dash that cost a fair wack for the unit. Now baught an ashcroft locker and high outout arb compressor lol.
Can't spend any more!!! ;)

Just added up my xmas wish list and it's almost £600… might have to just pick a couple of bits then save up some pennies

Mine is getting a snowcowl and rad muff,

how is that for wishful thinking! but only while it stays white and not brown... LOL

Mine might be getting another defender as a doner to keep it company. Then I will pull it apart for parts....

I'm not sure what it's called but the stainless looking part I've circled. Where did you get that from? Mine's cracked and I'd love to replace it with something like that.

Thanks,
Paul

Paul,

Are you just looking for a metal binnacle?

Defender & S111 Binnacle Mount do one, not cheap but very strong.

As for my truck, it wants a paint job, full service, refurbished R380 and a whole lot more but it will have to be happy with an Orange and a new split charge relay and wire from the alternator :).

Also bought the motor a clutch spring mod to reduce the heavy clutch action.

made it easier, PITA to fit, should not be surprised the spring was in a blue bag. Still an improvement on the old spring set up.

snow cowl fitted, rad muff fitted, ready for winter.

Cheers

That's spot on, thanks!

why not manufacture your own? I took my binnacle, taped a couple of A4 pages together, made a pattern, got a piece of 2mm steel plate and 500ml of expensive paint, a couple of hours later I had a steel replacement which worked out to about R80 (converted that is less than 8 pounds)

Because it's cold and my shed is currently stuffed so full of garden furniture I can't get in there
