Howdy all,

i have a gaylander at the mo and so ****ed off with the bloody thing in the last year its had over 2grand spent on it and now its worth almost nothing, i am thinking of a td5 90 or maybe a tdi300. i,m 6"1 and will i fit in other words, and day to day life is it ok to life with.
thanks

Well im 6'3" and i have no problem fitting in my 90 and comfortably too, best thing you can do is find someone with one and have a sit in it!!!

ditch the gaylander and get a 300tdi, you wont regret it. if you need more leg room opt for a hardtop and not a pick up. you can also get bulkhead removal bars installed and special rails for further adjustment. check out the mud club for those bits

I'm 6'4" and a hardtop is comfy no problemo but a truck cab is a bit cramped. After a freelander a defender will take a bit of getting used to but you will love it:D btw I use my 17 yr old 110 as my everyday wheels so a more modern one with more power/quieter engine etc would be a doddle.:D

Hello all, I too have been thinking about getting a 90, maybe a 300 TDI but I'm a bit concerned about fuel consumption. What would be a rough average MPG to expect out of one??

Buy a defender Or whatever for two grand and if you had to spend another two grand on it cos you bought a pup, you'd have an excelent vehicle that'd last ferever. An they've oooooodles more character.

i agree with grunt, however you can buy a complete dog for a grand and spend 3 doing it up or spend your original 4 and get a tidy 300 tdi and aim to "restore" it in 5 years. after 5 years most people are trading in there 5 year old car for another 12 grand new car. by keeping your original landy you can help save the planet by recycling:)
