My freelander is a little unusual. The front is slightly different, only seen a handful of others like this.

Any idea why it is slightly different from other Freelanders? Was it an option or something? Also, apart from being a mounting point to hold the silly small spot lights, what is the extra plastic trim for? Someone told me it is a nudge bar, but when I actually nudged another car the other day, it loosened it from its fixing point. So if they're really "nudge bars" then they're pretty pointless at that! I considered removing it to put proper bull bars in its place, but I figure it would be a waste of time as it would probs leave unsightly holes in the bumper.

Any info?

They're special little lights to show the AA man where the recovery point is when it's dark, raining and your doors have fallen orf. ;)

That would be a nudge bar old chap - Land Rover Part number STC50413 - made from hardened resin/foam material I believe. Looks rather dapper I might add.

Yep nudge bar for moving dangerous air.....anything heavier then air and they crumple. Excellent safety feature

It also gives you somewhere to put your babycham while your adjusting your curlers.
