My freelander currently has no tyres, what are the best ones to fit on it to make it really good off road?
 
I'll write the first serious reply then :D. I have just bought some falken all terrains after getting some advice on here. Got them from Camskill for £50 ish a tyre.

If I had a bigger budget then I think general grabbers would have been the choice.

:DI'VE fitted infinity 215/65/16 and the've been good....On road manners good and off road more than capable :):)

Some more information would be of help. Some sizes (225/55R17 for instance) leave you with very little choice.
How much off-road use does it get in comparrison to on-road, are you willing to sacrifice good on-road manners for better performance off-road?
 
General Grabber AT2s but as pointed out before, the 17s will leave you with little choice.
