has anyone said that he knowingly sold a stolen vehicle?
He still did not have good title to the goods:doh:
has anyone said that he knowingly sold a stolen vehicle?
agreed - but there is a significant distinction between knowingly selling a stolen motor and acting in good faith. Its like the OP being done for receiving.....
Without entering into an argument, a motor trader should be expected to have experience to check good title-that said there were issues with car auctions not checking hpi on cars a while back.
would you not agree a call to consumer direct should give some free guidance on how to proceed.
Yes - as stated about he aught to read, and act on, the crock of **** thread we have already mentioned.
As it is from a trader, the trader has a legal responsibility..... I think we both agree on the course of action.
My comment was only on whether JtLM acted in good faith or not, before he gets slated.
Cheers jamie, i sent all my invoices for all my additional purchases totalling 3060 pound, this is just what i could find, to the insurance firm who now have my landy. Its called QBE and they have taken my landy to a storage facility somewhere down south. I managed to get hold of my tax disc before it was seized and have since sent it back to the dvla. the police found the original plate that the car should be so shouldnt have to go onto a Qplate. should hopefully hear something back in the next week or two
..Hi everyone, so........ finally iv got the result i was hoping for. After alot of research n relentlessness i got a letter back from the visa company confirming they are going to pay me back the full amount of £6330.29 under section 75 of the consumer credit act which covered me for consequential losses too.
If anyone ever needs any help with the same situation i was in, dont hesitate to drop me a line for a bit of guidance n what to do next.
thanks to everyone on here for helping me too
Tom
