Having problems with my indicators blowing fuses and think that the hazards might be involved too.

I put the hazards on for a minute or so the other day, and then there was a buzzing and then a click from the fusebox - one of the relays, I think. Fearing the worst, I tried the indicators, which to that point had just blown fuse 5. To my surprise, they worked fine, until they blew fuse 5 this morning..

So my question - what are the relays below the fuses for? Left hand one - I think is the flasher unit (for the hazards AND indicators? Or just one of these?) - another might be the wipers - what is the third one for?

Cheers,

flasher unit is tucked under the fuse box on mine, its bigger than the relay and says flasher unit on it :)
the wiper relay is also a tucked under jobby
I think the yellow are rear window heater and starter, dunno about the 3rd.

ps the red/black may be the other way round, theres plenty of slack on the cables when tucked under they could be either way round

Excellent. Thanks for all your help! For some reason I thought that there would be two flasher relays - one for hazards and one for indicators. I don't have a rear screen demister as the body is from an 81 110 - don't think it was ever connected - but that there is still a relay for this does make sense.

I will pull some stuff out and test it!
