OK so i have a 2005 4.2 supercharge vogue, not sure what model/mk this is? the amplifier has water damage, therefir no radio ect, been told to get a reconditioned one but there are so many different ones i have no idea what one i need? many thanks

Hello Betty. You could visit Halfords and ask them what you need. Some of their stores are very good and helpful, it clearly is a matter of luck. But they should be able to see what your system is and tell you what you need. I don't think that they will have what you need but they might be able to get it for you and fit it for you for a very reasonable price.

I'm lucky to have have good staff in the local store and they are one of the first places to go to for info

Firstly locate the amplifier and take from it the part number any other useful information, then search the www and see what's around.
I doubt that any aftermarket amp will be compatible with the factory fitted head unit, assuming it is, and if one was found not without a lot of alterations to the system u have.

Your Halfords must be VERY......VERY different from Sheffield stores.

I have never been to the branch in Sheffield, but the staff I. My local are fantastic. I spent time talking and getting to know them and they look after me.

I would imagine that you system will be a high end specification model and I do know that Alpine have a vert small amplifier which even Rolls Royce use, or have used in the past. It's very small an not expensive.

Staff round here don't know ATF from Turtle Wax

Since the death of the Celtic Tiger, the opportunities for younger college leavers has significantly boosted the "quality " of appointees in many Irish businesses. The change in understanding of customer service has risen beyond recognition.
