... or car tax.. same ****, different name.
Its what you pay to be allowed to use a public road
road fund liscence and it gives you no more right to use the road than anyone else, after all council tax pays for all the roads in the videos

Whatever its called if you don't have it, you can't legally drive on the road..so that statement of '' it gives you no more right to use the road than anyone else ''..is clearly wrong.

hoo is it?
So, as I only pay council tax for West berkshire, that means I have no right to drive in Hampshire or any other county?

I think you'll find, its the car tax that gives you the right to use the roads... or even be on the roads.

As if you dont have car tax, you can't even leave your car park on a public road.

you can have insurance and MOT... but no car tax, no right to be on a road.

this is where you tie yourself up.Everyone who pays tax (and even those that dont ) have the right to go on the roads, in various forms be it cars bikes or horses. Paying your rfl gives you no more right than anyone else, however it is required to get your car on the road. Bikes dont need to pay it, and have a right to be there, ame as everyone else
