Also early engines had an extra cam cover breather with the pipe running down behind the injection pump into the block side plate, this was deleetd on later 200.
Early motors also had green rocker cover oil caps and dipsticks, all later were yellow.

Mine is a late 200tdi that had a cracked block so rebuilt it with a disco block
Probably cost saving, and it wasn't needed.
Havent a clue, maybe its a carry over form the previous 19j?
Actually quite hard to find the rocker cover and the side block plate for the 200, I bought one the other day and have been looking on and off for a while now.
I think they went back to two pipes for the 300 model?
Is there any advantage to fitting it?
