Hi guys and gals,

I have to get full new set of lights, and I’m thinking of getting LED’s... I’m just wondering if anybody has had any regrets or if anybody is really pleased with what they got?

Is there any recommendations or are they all much of a muchness?

Some I have seen plug straight in to the 200tdi loom, but I’m presuming some will be a bit more involved (Take it that’s not too much to worry about)

Any advice will be appreciated

Got the wipac light set. Came with led relay
Does front & back. No reverse/fog in their kits
Not done headlights but added boomslang to them & they are brighter.

I don’t know why boomslang tickles me.... but I’ll just get LED’s from the off I think, I quite like the look of the halo type ones

They are a bit too harsh and flickery when flashing someone, kinda souless somehow to the organic way the non-LEDs do it.
Yet the light they kick out is brilliant and piercing.

I’ve got WIPAC LED’s all round and Vision X LED headlights.
Got to be one of the best mods I’ve done.
The headlights are brilliant albeit expensive and the sidelights, indicators, rear lights and rear fog are much brighter.
See and be seen. :)

yep, wipac kit for all the side lights etc and eventually mains have gone wipac too. they're excellent!

If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get them and how much were they?
I just had a quick look at Devon and they have this flasher control unit relay for £540 headlights are around £420 the rest £206, would you say that’s about right?

The Vision X headlights were £540 the pair.
The WIPAC LED’s were £140. That includes side/rear, rear fog, side repeaters and brake lights.
All supplied by TMD Tuning.

Ah maybe I should have shopped around then.... too inpatient that’s my problem!! Oh well, I’ll check them out for the head lights

Sorry to be a moaning old git, but I don't really see the point of LED's on a defender, or at least on mine.
I do tend to go through indicators/side lights a bit, quite often a tree is the culprit when I'm playing (working) in the forest, and originals are only a couple of quid a time.

I'd get them for the front headlights maybe. But not as a pack for 500 odd quid, that's as much as halogen Xenon lights.

No need to apologise, the world would be a boring place if we all shared the same opinion... this one is gonna be my everyday run about and occasionally it will go in a field to collect the horse.... I’m thinking, next one will be a toy:D which obviously won’t have LED’s

I've got full led lights on everything. The headlights are miles better and I've still got the original wiring.
The indicators needed a new adjustable relay but that's it
