Hey guys

300tdi discovery engine

this pipe broke today, goes from brake servo pipe.

struggling to find the replacement L shape connection hose, anyone know it’s name?

also what’s it do and is it safe to drive still?

As long as you still have vacuum for the servo then you are probably ok,
The early discovery had a vacuum feed for the air recirculating valve on the heater so probably that
If it’s the same,

Cars a 1997 300tdi auto

Follow the small pipe and see what it feeds, possibly egr solenoid? in which case blank the little hole in the fitting and keep on trucking.
The small pipe could also be the feed the the vac operated cruise control?
 
Doesn’t a disco 300 Tdi with cruise control have a vacuum pump near the near side head lamp?
The pipe piece is shown in the parts catalogue if thats the item that broken. NTC4428
