Found water in spare tyre well, very concerned as loads of electrics all over the boot. Tried to find source with no luck, no holes or cracks etc, rubber plugs are in place.

Wiped the water up then went for 5 min drive in light rain, water had re-appeared again to the extent it had soaked the lid which covers the spare,

any help greatly appreciated.

i noticed that mine has the same problem when i removed the spare wheel the other day.

not loads of water, just a small puddle. its not wet around the amplifier space / window seal so i wonder where else its gettting in ??

thanks

I have a 2005 model year L22 Range rover Vogue TDV6 / purchased from new and now has 105,000 miles on clock. Fabulous condition but in last two months heavy condensation inside vehicle. have already had condensation inside rear left panel that, required new sat nav connectors through h2o corrosion. Took out spare wheel over weekend and there was quarter litre of clean water in spare wheel well, with moisture over top of spare wheel and also inside rear left and right panels. Car is used once a week. Have heard that as I use air con all time this increases moisture build up, is there not a vent built in to prevent this? Any Solotions out there greatly appreciated. no liquids spilt inside as a clean up I have placed in well 4 x boxes of sorbsill moisture absorber.

Air conditioning should reduce condensation build up, not increases it - it should remove moisture from the air and dump it out through the condensor. Hence why you often see puddles under cars when the air con has been used.

I have absolutely no experience with L322's but I would certainly try sitting in the boot whilst someone outside points a hosepipe at all the obvious places - window seals, boot seal, numberplate/handle trim and up inside the rear arches - remember, water can come from underneath as well as on top! Common sources of leaks (excluding the heater matrix and air con ones which I guess would be in the dash/front of car) are sunroofs, window seals, blocked drainage channels...

You may need to remove some interior trim when you try the hosepipe, as it could run behind that down to the boot floor.

HTH.
