Hi I am getting water in the passengerside footwell of my disco 200tdi. it happens when it is stood and also on the move? Has anyone any idea's where this could be coming from?

Silly question, but is this only happening when it rains? I'd be inclined to check your door and window seals first.

If it happens all the time, have you checked your coolant levels as you might have a leaky pipe.

It could also be condensate from your air conditioning ... although that should be outside and not in.

most common are windscreen seal, leaking heater, sunroof seals. if its leaking heater the engine coolant level will be droppimg and there should be anti freeze in the water. visual inspection of windscreen and sunroof seals should give an idea ... seal dodgy ares with silicon.

do a search for leaking sunroofs .... its a common issue.

Hi this happens when it rains the disco has no air con or sunroof. Would it more than likley be the windscreen seal?

mine also did this which is a 200 tdi no aircon no sunroof and guess what i traked it down to??? the roof bars:confused: yep water was getting under the seals of the roofbars coming down the inside of the windscreen pillar and into the footwell bit of sealent round the bases and hey presto no more wet floor :)

if it's a disco then it could be from anywhere ;-)
I've never tracked down where it comes into mine.

Take the carpet out, you'll probably find a huge rotted hole through which you can see the front tyre ;) that's what was causing my dampness!
