anyone got ideas of what might be the source of water getting onto passenger side front carpet..

Definitely not rain from roof, or anywhere else ........ air con system??

What about the seal from the roof aerial?

Might help if you said what type of car it is.

If its an F1, it could be the AC drain (as above) or it could be the heater matrix.

I believe the heater matrix is a dash out job to replace. you could have a search to find out more info.

Mine was air con drain blocked by carpet which had not been cut from new! It had the oval marked out but drain pipe fitted to pipe with carpet sandwich in between!! When I got the air con regassed it started to flood the floor on passenger side.
