15th December, anyone going? I want to but for obvious reasons don't want to go alone and rely on possible fools to help me out if I'm stuck
I think it's £25 or £20 for the day, for 1 landy and 2 people

What makes you think you wont end up with fools from this forum helping you out?

Yeah I might be up for a look at silverdale mate. Only been once and my turbo went almost straight away so didn't get chance to see it. give us a shout closer to.

Also is western coyney ok for standard discos ive looked on youtube vid's and it doesnt seem too extreme.
Im also a newbie so would this be a good starting point?

I'm a similar boat to you shenton, I've got a standard series 3 though, I hear silverdale is extremely muddy? And Weston coyney has bits of everything, but it's clay not soil so there's more puddles etc? Any thoughts on that anyone?

I think weston coyney is a great place to start.

It's very open which I think helps as you can have a look around and decide which bits you think you will be comfortable with.

Would be good to meet up and bimble around together.
3 newbies what could possibly go wrong :rolly:


And yes you'll be surprised what a standard disco will do

I think i will brave it dont know when lol. Also i know a few roads around DImmings Dale which is oakamoor/alton way.
If you google Ramblers Retreat thats the pub that surrounds the forest.

I was thinking the same picking easier routes as you go round. I could imagine a standard disco its just the lowish front bumber where fog lights are. I know a few cut the bumper down a fit spots but im not at that stage yet.

No lanes round this way mate youl have to head out to wales or peaks.

Weston coyney is alright bit of everything just stay away from the pudle right at the far end of the site looks small bout 15ft long and is about 4ft deep.

Weston Coyney is a great place to start. You should have some fun. Ill be going i think. Look out for a white 90. Id be happy to recover you if you get stuck lol

FYI, Weston Coyney is an old SAND quarry, so its not soil at all. Its mostly rocky and thin amount of sand with some bits which are muddy. To be honest its almost impossible to get yourselves stuck unless you really try!

Now silverdale.... thats a completely different story. Mud tyres are a must, otherwise you wont get off the road lol.
