Hi guys

Going to weston coyney on the 28th as a spectator with my son and his g/friend and just wondered if there is anyone else going.

me and my son have been there many times in the past when i was into series trucks but we have been out of the off road sciene for a few years but hopfully soon will be getting a defender 90 to do a few p and p's with and my sons g/friend wants to go so think weston coyney is a better place to take her to see what its all about :)

Just been to wickes for some new wellies as i couldn't find my otheres must have binned them when i packed in off roading 4-5 years ago :(

landy has engine but its not running right, im going to hazard at doubting im gonna be there this weekend DOH!

it now runs right but takes a bootful of gas to get it to move im hazarding on a dead intercooler, figures really as it had a dark patch that looked like it had been letting boost gases escape. if i can get a cooler to try out the theory i may still make it.
either way have a good weekend buddy

Well i made it.... Sort of :(
Bit rubbish to find but got lucky and followed another landy in.
Great reception from the marshalls.
Within twenty minutes my clutch let go, dont know what it is, managed to limp home and ive dropped it at a friends garage to sort as ive had enough of the thing!

Was that you in the yellow karky disco

Well what can i say we was very disappointed with the turn out as there was only roughly 15 vehicles and half of them was what i call ( mad max spak charriots ) racing round and making a nucense of the selves, back in the day when i used to go there was always 50 + vehicles all day long arr well how things change.

anyway the weather was good, burgers from the butty van was good but other than a little bit of activity at one of the mud runs it was quite boring really but sons g/friend enjoyed it which was the main thing as she had never been to an off road avent before and can't wait till we get a defender 90 hopfully a 300tdi :D

Thats y i stopped goin found that rather than enjoying it you were watchin what the idiots were doin so they dint hit your motor.is a gd site with all levels catered for.but to many idiot coz any 4wd is allowed not just roadworthy or non idiots.

Yeah its a shame really as you say is a great site, got talking to the butty van man and he said that silverdale has been clossed due to gypsy's going on and wrecking the place don't know if its true or not but thats what he said

na bud, burgandy five door with no back bumper, there was another burgandy there but a few differences.
spent the little time i had doing some climbs and the sheepdip.
lot more controllable there than the dessert but that may be why it felt a little tame?
as for the tray back petrol loonies..... yeah had one revving the knackers off his the whole time we were there.

It was the first time I've ever been offroad so I enjoyed it. :D
Will have to get a snorkel and breathers so I can go for a paddle next time.

Yep i remember yer now we where the only spectators there i think we where mainly stood near the sheep dip as that was where most of the action was think we will give the dessert ago next time just looks a big site to cover on foot but will give it ago and see ;)

not saying its the be all and end all up there, but it is good. bit of variety what with the moto x boys aswell.
i enjoyed coyney, bit small but some good stuff to try, now i know where it is i will be back once mines repaired.
i dropped the dip to the right of where the disco was pulled out, thing i did like was the lack of water it was shallow enough to not flood the vehicle but deep enough to make it fun.
