I bought same one with similar intention. I also got conversion hose for big gas bottles as little won't last. I'm currently ripping all apart down to clean metal and will be going from there. Loads on YouTube and the mig forum.

Definitely nige thanks. I'l order that flowmeter today. Would help both myself and op! I'm hoping to set mine up this weekend as need a break from wire wheels lol

well after some fook ups! horrble looking welds, i got it set up right, wire speed and all cleaned up metal, welded ok! not perfect as in looks for first attempt but ok, grinder helped, all primed and top coated, undersealed, you cannot tell really! so a good result!

good stuff! I just went in a welding shop and met a very helpful chap who gave me a fix for my regulator problem. Going to get practicing before I go near the car! Glad your sorted

i was dubious to do it! but ive seen what some garages do, so took the bull by the horns and bought a set, £350.00 quids worth of gear took me 2hours, job done, so not an economic repair, but i know its a good one, now ive steamed it off, steam cleaner at max temp, all chassis etc back to bare metal, Dinitrol this time! hardly any rust on chassis, bit around shock mounts and behind wheel line, treated it and just done front half of car tonight, rear tomoz ,****ty job!

well got me a chap to do it paul kiton from scabby patch welding as done a great job of the sills back today to do rear wheel arches as they had also got tin worm

Best advice I can offer to anyone setting up to weld is to get an auto-darkening mask. About £50 but the difference it made to my welding was unbelievable.

Your not wrong. I dabbled 10 years ago at college and remember really struggling with their helmet. I got an auto darkening one to try and learn again and so glad I did. Especially with this stitching on sheet where I' practicing letting the pool semi cool for a second prior to putting another down.
