No on this occasion I took vehicle in for just one rear jacking point, but on inspection the other side was knackered as well. So I was quoted what I think is an astonishing £600 to do BOTH rear jacking points and sills, the Caveat though was that we had to do most of the Prep work ourselves including removing all the 'beautification' panels and the incredibly hard to remove Kevlar tanks guards that were fitted. All in all it took two of us around EIGHT hours to do the work, which would have been another £400-£800 depending on the garage/welder. Alan the Welder originally quoted between £500-£600 and remained true to his word although it was with him for three days in order that he could do a bit of other work as well. I feared he was going to end up charging us £1,000 and even that is cheap compared to other prices people have been charged for the same work. As I have previously mentioned on post updates, unfortunately he DOESN'T want to work on anymore RR's because it is too labour intensive. It is a real pity he is (a) retiring and (b) won't do anymore Rangey work, probably a case of once bitten etc! No body filler and NO underseal either except a bit of primer and stone chip!
