I had some snow at work, but none to speak of at home, which is only 1.5 miles away as the crow flies. My house is on the south side of a hill, and work is on the north side of the same hill at about the same elevation. But often the north side gets the snow, yet the south side doesn't. The same thing happens pretty much every time it snows.

They had some in Launceston this morning - they told me it got fairly sketchy on the A30 over Okehampton.

The radio said that the A30 was impassable for a time Launceston way, it's over 1000ft above sea level up there.
