Good evening all.

So what do use WD40 for? apart for helping get rusty old nuts n bolts off.

I here people spray electrical connectors with it, spray it all over there engines and even clean there wheels with it.

I used to spray it into the carburettor intakes and slather the throttle slides when laying my track bike up for winter. Big mistake, first ride on a racetrack next season and the WD40 had skinned over and baked the throttle slides to the carb bodies. Went round a hairpin with the throttles stuck open - brown trouser moment :eek::eek:

Hi use WD40 clean marks from interior trim on most plastics also lubricate rubber seals doors and windows

I cleaned the plastic in my car once with it, it worked a treat, I sh1t you not it attracted mice, I caught half a dozen field mice in my car over the space of a week. They must have been able to small it a mile off.

The window rubber channel guides on old l200.
they dry out and window goes up then down one of a large lists of issues with THE l200.

Its a Water Dispersant really, hence it's name. However, as hughdavies says, it's canny useful LINKY

Makes a good aftershave..

i get it in 5 litre bottles and spray it monthly under my rangy to keep it rust free, works a treat..

Crap at penetration though "snigger" i find acetone and ATF in an oil can makes a great penetrant, shake it well before use mind you ;)

The only thing I use it for is to stop my tools going rusty, and occasionally as a cleaner - which is does quite well.

Plenty of better products out there to get rusty stuff undone, my favourite is plus-gas

Makes a good aftershave..

With people getting aftershave/perfume for Xmas we had a discussion about favourites and ones we'd like.

I got strange looks when I said I'd love an aftershave that had a smell a bit like classic cars - leather, oil, petrol, hot metal............is it just me?
