Hi sorry if similar has been asked before
I'm wanting to treat my wheel archers and eventually all the underside but was wondering what the best option is
Just waxoyl
Karust then hameright
Or all three
Thanks in advance

It's hard to tell because it's ready for a jet wash but the archers arnt too bad but I'd like the to look nice having the archers cut back means you can see everything,
The last pic shows the chassis next to the tow bar, the chassis is realy good and already seems to have a wax rubber like coating, the only bits of rust seem to be on the brackets that come of the chassis
Thanks

Me again - I've used a 50/50 mix of old engine oil and Waxoyl on the bits you aren't likely to need to touch. Waxoyl on the rest. I think you got a patch in this photo which is going to be problematic. It looks like a similar spot on mine and it's just a matter of time before it's a hole.

Mine had the same thick coating and it's great until water gets behind it then it creeps without getting spotted!

Others will no doubt tell you otherwise but I was lucky to get an ex-Jap with very few problems.

awp is right. give it a good jet wash, let it dry and attack with wire cup on grinder to get all loose off and see what you're up against.

Ok thanks are you talking about the metal That returns down at the bottom of the arch with the rust on mate

Oh right il have a look in the the light tomorrow, did you do any rust treatment on yours before you waxoyled

It's where the two pieces are spotted together. The seam sealer deteriorates and traps water between the two and it rots from the inside out. Check your sill ends while you're there.

Looks good mate, I'm gona strip my interior in two stages to try and keep it on the road, hopefully won't hit too many issues
It's pretty good all In all it was one owner full history with original sales invoice all mots etc
Plus it's exactly what I wanted 3dr auto no sunroofs no abs or electric windows Infact it's got no electrics apart from the Ecu but I'm planning on removing that eventually once I get hold of pump and injectors etc

What are you stripping the interior for?

Simple is good. My leccy pump went when I had the TGV fitted. :D

Just so I can check the whole floor over and treat with hameright and give all the carpets etc a good going over, I also want to refurb the front seat bases as I think cus it's a 3dr and they tilt forward to let passengers in there slightly out of line from use, and a new head linning eventually but for now iv gave it a quick tart up using carpet adhesive spay to re stick any bits that have come loose, have you checkered your boot?

As in loos all the carpets, iv thought about this but how does it effect road now mate, I do like the idea of the checker like youv done

No, the foam underneath the carpet. I can't hear a difference in noise and as an attempt to keep it even more civilised, I've added 25mm of closed cell foam to the whole of the roof. I've got plans to do the inside of the doors too.
