I have read references to waxoil with respect to the Discoverys. Am I wrong in assuming this is a protective coating tat can be applied to the undercarriage. Is it worth doing? How much does it usually cost and does anyone know where in Ireland you can get it done?

Apols if this is a basic question, I am learning as I go.

Yes this is an underseal that goes on the underside of the vehicle, wheel arches etc...

You can get it in several forms, look on the 90/110 section and in the disco section as there have been a few posts recently on this topic, the most common stuff is Hammerite underseal with waxoil.

I have seen companies that just spray it onto EVERYTHING (except exahust pipe, engine and gearboxes) and it looks pretty good once done, and certainly makes cleaning easier.

I don't know anywhere in Ireland, but I am sure someone will.

Doh:( I know a lad up North in the Glengormley area could do it. A bit far from Clare unfortunatly
