Hi All, Before I go changing the engine here is my last ditched approach for idea's?
So water system on my 300tdi pressurised. I also had white smoke issue.
I'd in error left oil in a couple of bolt holes so the head had not tightened down correctly! DOH
So cleaned all up dried holes out cleaned up both block and the head that I also had checked to ensure it had not warped or valves seats warn.
Replaced head with new gasket and bolts.
Still pressurised but no white smoke )
So changed radiator and had also changed water pump first time around!
Still pressurised. Did the usual bleed of system heater would work then would stop and temp guage would reach middle( Oh I have no thermostat either) to just have free flowing system while trying to pin point problem.
So I have now by-passed the heater matrix thinking this maybe blocked. Again initially it seemed to work fine with no pressure. This morning it is back upto heating guage at half and burning the water from head and pressures up?
I get the feeling it can now only be the block?
I have read somewhere to check the T piece between expansion bottle, rad and thermostat so will check this.
Any more ideas or is this a new engine job as thats my thoughts at the moment?
But hey i at least now have good radiator, water pump, lift pump as this also bust and other spare bits )

Will check T piece tonight and report in! I've had the head off 3 times! It's baked one head and already had been skimmed to the max hence another head fitted! Fun Fun Fun!
Did buy the truck cheap due to head and was supplied with bolts and gasket managed around 2000 miles before the thing sprung a leak on the p-gasket drained below head and baked it without warning via the thermostat! They call me Lucky haha!

T piece flowed fine so thats that! Must be the actual block at fault yeaaaa!
Going to look at another landy tomorrow so should be able to make a good one )
