Just had a phone call - the green machines Water pump has given up the ghost

As the Timing belt is overdue, seems a good idea to do both at the same time but hearing all sorts of nasty sounds about ****part bits, thought I would look around.....
Having done a search or two, dont prices vary???
Price of water pump varies from £30 to £160 - and thats just one supplier
The Timing belt kit I inherited with the motor seems to contain Britpart stuff..... now, obviously, I dont want it to snap on me, so do I throw it away and replace with genuine, or use the stuff I have got, or just use a genuine belt, for example?
I cant justify spending huge sums on this motor, but dont want it breaking down in a months time. Do you have any prefered suppliers for this stuff, or is it just a question of digging deep?
