biketeacherdave Well-Known Member May 29, 2015 #6 as above that or they did a **** poor job of changing your head gaskets. why would they say hg then say expansion bottle cap ? bit odd that. having just done my hg i checked everything else 1st why didnt they ? post your location maybe some one close can help

biketeacherdave Well-Known Member May 29, 2015 #8 bit to far from me. i chased my water leaks for weeks then did my hgs all fixed. i feel your pain

biketeacherdave Well-Known Member May 29, 2015 #12 stat is common put the old 1 in a pan of boiling water n see if it opens then at least you know. also air locks below the stat are common best to fill from the top rad hose i find then run with the cap off for 20 mins. good luck

Datatek Well-Known Member May 30, 2015 #13 If you buy a new stat, check in boiling water that it opens, there are a lot of duff ones about.
