so I have a water drip in the cabin
It's coming from the heater inside behind the glove box dries from the joint arrowed.

Twice Iv resealed the filter cover
Iv tried new screws and silicone on them
And the one on top that was pointed out to me.
Iv put enough sealer on to smear out and smooth around.
Iv sealed any joint i can see in the trim.
Nothing's broke or bent
It's definitely coming inside and dripping out there has anyone got any suggestions please

I'm at the point I'm going to pull the bonnet off and go mad with a hose

A possibility il look when I go have a fag I'm 99..9% sure it's from inside the box.
Do the drains run down the a pillar then exit the body near there?

Not certain exactly where they run but two days ago when mine leaked again, my nanocom cable was completely full of water so it seems to get everywhere!
I need to pull my trims off and sort mine out!

Quick pull of the pillar trim
It runs down the a pillar.
After a quick google.
Exit looks like it will be visible from inside the wheel arch.
On the front side of the a pillar here's a google pic.

Mines been dripping what looks like the cabin air box but drain tubes must be possible and can't harm to make sure their clear.
Looks like a glove box and lower dash trim off anyway
Left my mums earlier after taking little un to visit and checked to see if there was a drip as passanger side was steamed right up carpets dry thankfully rubber mat sort of catches the drips in the pockets in it.
Twice iv thaught I got it and well I haven't yet

bottom of the windscreen....
below the screen (outside) there is the plastic trim that covers the bulkhead top for your cabin/ pollen filter. The plastic screw fixing gaskets leak the water drops into your cabin filter and sits in the motor. Then drips into your foot well. Mine was pith wet on the floor and the motor was acting like a water wheel!!!! The water had come in through the screw fixings..

Could be the base of the pollen filter box leaking. If you completely remove the pollen filter box you will see a drain hole in the front right corner of the well the pollen filter box bolts to. Make sure that is unblocked and clear then seal the pollen filter box base and refit.

Sun roof drain goes nowhere near where you have the leak. It goes down the A post and out inside the wing behind the arch cover..

Mine does the same thing, drips water on both sides (passenger is more, a lot more!) I have sealed the pollen filters and checked the heater o rings. Are there any drains in the main scuttle grill that holds the wipers, the water somehow gets into the pollen filter cavity because I have noticed that the pollen filters get soaked and the fan sprays a nice mist, there is already enough of that outside let alone having it in the car ;) I am in a very high pine pollen, seed and pine needle area and wondered if they could block something in the scuttle, I cant see anything there though.

There's the foam over the intke for the heater in the middle of the scuttle. Guess if it rained hard enough it might come through there?

Yes one in either front corner. You cannot see them until you remove the pollen filter boxes.

I took off all the windscreen trim, new clips from JLR, and sealed every screw hole all the way along the windscreen. Solved mine, I had water coming in for ages in the same place.

Now to do the o rings...

My leak was from a hole in the scuttle just in front of the pollen filter hatch - guess it must have been there for a long time because you could see all the various attempt to rectify it. It's like a fold in the metal which is about 12 cm long and I just ran a bead of silicone in there just as a precaution and was surprised when I found it had solved the problem. The crease is parallel to the filter access and just in front of it. This is on the nearside of the car.

P.S. Sorry didn't make myself clear - the fault on mine was in front of the rectangular hole in the scuttle/bulkhead that becomes visible when you strip everything away and you can look down onto the fan assembly. So off with the scuttle trims, windscreen lower trim, and the plate that has the 10mm bolts holding it. Then there is a housing that holds the pollen filter - this has a gasket beneath it (which is now NLA). The gap I had was just in front of this and I ran a bead of sealant into it just as a precaution. I don't know whether it was a factory glitch - it certainly wasn't the result of, say, accident damage. Mines a '97 flavour if that helps. Anyway, that was the problem and I've had the car for three years and for the first time it now is bone dry inside.

For now.........

Update it was raining so so far I just went ott with sealer resealed the cabin boxes and screws and over the head of the 10mm bolts it's been dry for now

Il have to get the whole lot apart at somepoint
