Looks like you are absolutely correct, l've sealed the Alpine Window and the leak has stopped.

Looking at the seal, it has a join at the lower centre, so water is going to run down the glass, down between the seal and glass, and straight through the small gap where the seal joins.
I reckon that join should be at the top, so probably incorrectly fitted.

I can't remember which way I fitted mine. I think I'll check tomorrow :rolleyes: :)
 
lf the join was at the top it would also leak, but lt would leak from the outer part of the seal and would be possible to seal it easily with silicone.

So yes, it's likely the join should be at the top.

It's more likely to leak if the water is being guided by the seal to gather at the join at the bottom.
