Hi everyone. Have a problem with my freelander TD4 (2005). Tool well keeps fillin wih water. Would appreciate any pointers or advice. Its my first Landrover.

It's been discussed loads of times before. Its known as the sink or fish tank in the rear.Check your door seal for rips and use a rubber glue (I would use my wetsuit glue). The glass might also need to be adjusted upward.
Then spay a can of silicone spray on the rubber and use a sponge to remove most of the water ant leave the flap open with the rear facing the sun. Some people here have drilled a hole in the floor.
I keep some tools in there and sometimes spay with wd40 and leave it open on a warm day.It hasn't welled up for a year or 2.

edit:Welcome to Landyzone.

Glad I read this post as mine is wet through too. Only had it a week and couldn't find out where the leak was from...trouble is the 6 disc changer was in there and is totally useless now...great forum gents thank you

I had a free swimming pool with mine anorl, back door seals are fine, i found
the lid used to condensate easly.
I dryed it out, left it open on a nice day, it done the trick been dry ever since!:)

I cured mine by taking the rubber seal completely off the rear door, then refitting it. cos it don't go back 100% the same, it seems to re-seal it. not had a recurrence since, fingers crossed.

I may have a new seal somewhere if your interested. let me know and I'll have a look in the garage for it .. I cant remeber if I sold it all ready.

Ive just bought an 04 model and to my surprise it to had water in the tool well. After a quick investigation i found the tailgate catch (the one fixed to the D post) was loose and this was allowing water to run down the inside of the tailgate, under the rear panel trim and into the tool well. I adjusted it in slightly and tightened it up and we are now water tight again:clap2:

Me without reading whole thread...........................................would drill hole in tool well............and insert a non-return valve.:D
